　　他是一个小小英语口语家，英语成绩在班级里名列前茅，口语被老师评价为“老外的`那种口音”，他就是我们班学习成绩最好的班长——林禾！

　　林禾从四年级开始就担任班长的重任，直到现在，他都没下过岗，由此也可以看出他不仅成绩好，还办事认真，从来不会对班主任老师的话“不屑一顾”。而他也是英语老师的好帮手，每当考试完后，她都会让林禾去批改试卷。林禾的英语成绩直到现在都没有一次低于97分。而“唯一”能和林禾抗衡的人，也就是我啦！但我每次都差他那么一点点分数。

　　在上课之前，林禾总会读上几分钟英语，他的口音极其流畅，英语从他的口中“涓涓流出”，几乎没有停顿，英语老师上课时总会语重心长地对我们说：“你们看看，林禾读英语时可是初中水平……”

　　我十分好奇为什么他能这么厉害，于是，在妈妈给我报英语班时，为了学到高品质的英语，我便吵着嚷着要跟林禾一个班。妈妈禁不住我的死缠烂打，只好同意了。结果，我发现这跟我以前的英语班差不了多少。林禾为什么英语这么好，还是一个让人百思不得其解的谜。

　　直到有一天，妈妈嫌我口语不够好，教训我：“你看看人家林禾，每天都在跟老外模音！”啊！原来林禾口语那么好是因为他每天都在模仿老外的声音！我恍然大悟。

　　“这应该只是他口语好的一个原因，”我思考着，“一定还有别的原因”。于是，我开始观察他。我每天都偷偷地看着他，希望他有一点口语好原因的痕迹，可是，每次都是枉费心机。一直英语老师无意间和我说：“你知不知道？林禾他不是天生就这么厉害的！他每天都会抽出一定时间读英语，此外他还很喜欢读英文书籍”我总于弄明白了，原来，学英语也应该持之以恒，勤加练习，要不然就会生疏。
