Tt is known to us that the exam is the main method to measure the students\'knowledge in school.But nowadays this method is almost be-coming the only way to judge the students\'ability and knowledge.
If this method is over-used,I believe it will do us more harm than good.For one thing,too many exams keep the students from reading widely,because the students are forced to prepare the lessons to be examed.Their knowledge can only be narrowed within few text-books taught in class.For another,the exam itself encourages rigid memoriza-tion instead of initiating the students\'creativtiy and individual thinking which will be of great importance in their future work.
So we can conclude that too many exams are not good to the stu-dents.Some measures should be taken to lessen the students\'burden.Remember the main purpose of the exam is to urge and encourage the students to learn more.
我们知道考试是学校检查评定学生知识水平的主要方法。如今这种方法几乎成了判断学生能力与知识水平的唯一手段了。
