　　In this fast-paced modern society, life can be sometimes very stressful. One may get overwhelmed by what's going on. There may be a feeling of helplessness and the world's spinning out of control. It's easy to lose hope. However, hope is something can be created with an optimistic state of mind.

　　Optimism helps to increase hope for several reasons. To begin with, hope is something appears from our inside world. All of us have capacity to generate hope. This capacity is closely related to optimism. Optimism help us overcome fear, supporting us with great courage and confidence to overcome any difficulties. In return, it allows us to hold on to hope. 　　Our city is faced with many problems. First it’s overcrowded. There are so many people that the buses the underground and the light rail trains are often crowded with people. Second there’s a lack of water and other resources. Moreover the pollution problem is becoming more and more serious .

　　There’s noise pollution water pollution air pollution white pollution and light pollution. Pollution is harmful not only to the health of people but also to the health of animals and plants.

　　In order to make our city more beautiful and our life more comfortable the government should take action to control the population growth. It should also improve the public transport and build more schools hospitals and houses. In addition it should recycle the rubbish and find other ways to make energy. Besides it should stop factories from throwing away dirty water an giving off smoke .

　　But that’s not enough . We must all help to protect the environment we can plant more trees save water an electricity. We must get rid of our bad habits stop littering and destroying greenery. What’s more we should be green consumers. That is we should only buy and use things that do not damage the environment. We can choose to use things that can be recycled and reused .Another thing we can do is that we can take public means of transport as often as possible instead of driving private cars.

　　In brief always remember the three ”R”s: reduce recycle and reuse and go green. It’s everyone’s responsibility to do something for our city and make it more beautiful.
